about.
Hello! My name is Laura. I have been around for nineteen years and have been making things for most of them. My professional ambition is to be a writer and artist. At the moment I am a second-year university student majoring in English.
My intent when I make things is to explore things both beautiful and sorrowful, to rescue lost things and give love to broken things, present the frayed ends of life as things of beauty, and to give some happiness to a worn and ragged world.
This is entrancy, home of my creative projects, whims, portfolios, and various other bits and bobs. It has been around for six years and has had many past lives. The projects currently displayed range in date from 2004 to 2008, the earliest being "the girl and the rose." Most of them are personal projects, except for "a sea change," which was my final project in a college writing class.
Thank you much for visiting.

the making of.
I love to design using found objects, souvenirs, objects with memories attached to them. Scraps and scribbles. Every object you see is something I own or have borrowed, stuck in the scanner and incorporated into a design...
